Anica Peter is a forward-thinking HR professional from London, Ontario, known for putting the “human” back in Human Resources. You may remember her from GoodLife Fitness Southdale, where she greeted members by name and built genuine connections. Now the inaugural HR Manager for the Municipality of Thames Centre, Anica has led the development of HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, and more, shaping the municipality’s HR framework with empathy and strategic leadership.


Anica holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in HR Management from Fanshawe College, along with CHRP and CHRL designations. She actively promotes diversity, mental health, and inclusion, and is a dedicated mentor and community supporter. Chris Playfair

Chris Playfair was drafted 75th overall by the Windsor Spitfires in 2016, winning the Memorial Cup in 2017 and serving as assistant captain in 2018. After four years in the OHL, he joined Toronto Metropolitan University’s USPORTS team, earning Academic All-Canadian honors and captaining the squad to two top-four national finishes.

As co-founder of Prolific Hockey, Chris has led development programs for players from U8 to the NHL, overseeing Waterloo Minor Hockey’s player development and coaching Prolific’s 2011 and 2013 spring teams to multiple tournament championships.
